Open on weekends, free of charge, the Crystal Palace Museum displays items relating to the Great Exhibition and offers a general history of the park and surrounding areas. The display includes artefacts recovered from the time of the Crystal Palace, a brief history of the parks wonderful and weird past, and even a miniature model of the great building itself. The curators, whom run the Museum on a voluntary basis, possess a wealth of knowledge on the local history and will answer any questions with great enthusiasm. If you want to know more about the park and the palace, then this is certainly a worthwhile destination.
